Alleluia, Christ is risen!

More Easter posting down the line, but for today I just wanted to share something that’s on my Easter playlist this year. I’m going to try to put something up every day(ish) until I run out of playlist.

Today, a new discovery for me, a setting of the Easter Anthems from the BCP by Liturgical Folk.

I discovered Liturgical Folk about five years ago and have long enjoyed their music. In particular, we sing their setting of the General Thanksgiving every Sunday evening at the end of dinner. But somehow I missed this when it came out.

Getting the lyrics to fit a consistent tune has required a tiny bit of glossing on the text of Scripture, but the effect is an eminently singable version of a traditional Easter choral piece. I love it and I hope it blesses you today.
